Why I Blog

I started blogging a few years back when my husband, two kids and very pregnant me moved across country away from all our family. The blog was the easiest way to update them all at once about our daily adventures. I also wanted a way to remember all the little moments, things that at the time seem unforgettable but as days past they slip away. I never want to forget those moments.

Life kinda got away from me for a few years and the blogging never happened... having five kids all five years and under I guess will do that to you. Now I am determined to record all these moments. They really do grow way too quickly!

My family has been called crazy for many many reason, but the main ones are for us having 5 kids all super close in age, for my husband and I being married young, for us not vaccinating our children, for eating only organic, and for primarily eating a plant based diet. Add in there that I cook/bake all our meals from scratch, home school the kiddos, still try to live an active life outside our house with kids, and my husband works 60+ hours every week. Pretty regularly we are asked questions about how we do it with five kids, or about a particular issue with kids, about organic food, different health/nutrition things, about my recipes... etc. So not only will this blog serve as my back up memory to our daily life, but it will be a place that I can post things that I'm passionate about it, arts and crafts, recipes, our crazy ways, pretty much everything and anything... a place where I can get my thoughts out.

My husband and I have been 'teased' that we are full of useless facts --- to us they aren't really useless, we just have a love for learning and we try to retain as much information as possible --- but I'm sure if you read this blog you will find a few of these 'useless facts'  - you can either pass them on, ignore them, or in the middle of awkward silence you can mention one to break the ice... its all up to you
