We are heading out the door on our way to a church BBQ party... but we really wanted to post some pictures from this morning... little Zek is not camera shy --- hard to believe he is already 2 months!

short post

So I have a bunch of great pictures of baby Ezekiel from today --- but its late, and I'm tired, and tomorrow morning church is going to come way too early! So I'm posting only a few pictures, and tomorrow I will hopefully put a whole lot of Zek's silly faces....

Last night was not a good night sleep - at least for Jon and myself! For only the second time, Bubba woke up crying in the middle of the night (he's always been a good sleeper) Well, he woke Shortie up and they both came in our room... which then woke Zek up. Jon ended up on one couch with Zek, and I ended up on the other. In the morning we found two little kiddos sound asleep laid across our bed...

And here is a preview of the pictures of Zek... this first one is my favorite!!! He was laughing up a storm!!!!!

silly kids

We have lots of silly pictures from today....

Here are some of the pictures that Shortie took today... she loves her toes! She also took a bunch of pictures of Bubba, but they were blurry

Here are Bubba and Shortie holding Ezekiel. Bubba is such a loving big brother. All he wants to do is help - we aren't "allowed" to make a bottle and give it to Zek without Bubba helping... unless we want a war on our hands... Its so funny that Zek is crying in this one, and Bubba just has this look of adoration on his face.

Shortie loves being a big sister. Zek looks so much like she did when she was a baby, so when he makes silly faces (the same way Shortie did) we always say "he's making a Shortie face", so this is Shortie copying Zek making a "Shortie face"... its a full circle of confusion on the Shortie faces

This is one of her freaky faces... she was being extra goofy!

A calm but still Shortie face...

Little Baby Zek... everyone just loves him so much!!!

He is growing so fast!! Its hard to believe how big he is getting! And how much he is changing already!

Thursday... Just Thursday

Hello... just a random little note before I post some pictures. Jon has stated that if we have another girl (although there is no plan to have anymore babies via me... we would like to adopt two more little ones - we'd like at least one more girl) so... back to the point - if we have another little girl, Jon likes the name Sawyer... If Ezekiel was a girl he/she would have been Ireland... now he throws Sawyer out there and it is really his turn (I named Shortie, he did Eli, I loved the name Ezekiel since Shortie...so now really its his turn... if we take turns) anyways - thats all, just that Jon likes the name Sawyer if we have a little girl

Can you see Bubba and Shorties' friend... the little squirrel. They run all over all the time... and the kids love it - Jon and I, not so much lovin' the squirrels...

This is little Zek during the day, with a half smile, I was a little slow at taking the picture - but he is still super adorable! (and those are my toes behind his head... they make for a great headrest)

We got this outfit when Shortie was first born... I believe from Jons Dad and step Mom, it also has a blanket that matches. Its super funny to see him wearing it, and it makes Shortie laugh, which is great.

Zek is laughing!!! Look at those lips! Love it! He is so funny!!!!!

random updates

Its Tuesday -- yippy - Jon is off today!

We were sitting here looking at pictures we'd taken the last couple of days and decided to add them to our blog - at least some of them (we are a camera happy family...wonder where we get that from...lol)

Poor Little Man - not only did he get the three blisters on his foot - but he stepped on the edge of the carpet where every once in a while you get stabbed by a nail or staple -- well, if you can find a way to get hurt Bubba will find it - so it sliced the bottom of his foot in two places (it bled like crazy for small cuts) and it was on the same foot as his blisters... Shortie also got an "ouchie" on her knee while out with Daddy she fell down - but she was very good and let Jon look at it (usually she gets embarrassed and tries to hide it)

This is the "Paula Cake" from my baby shower that Vanessa (our Pastors wife) put together for me with the ladies from our church. Paula makes great cakes (that's an understatement!) Oh, and Vanessa's food was super good!!! she sent left overs home and we've been eating them for every meal... yummy!!! I had a blast, and it was great to get to know all the girls on a deeper level. Its been such a blessing to have found Evergreen Church!

The trees outside are starting to change to fall colors! We love it! Its so exciting to actually experience fall! Everyday when we go outside there are leaves everywhere -- that's one time its great to live in an apartment - you aren't the one cleaning up all the leaves... We look forward to our road trip to Maine - we are going to drive through Boston... that's going to be so beautiful!

Blisters and Art

Bubba takes after Auntie RahRah

So Bubba has a pair of rain boots that he loves. We let him wear them every once in awhile but always with socks - because he has the stinkiest feet for a little boy otherwise. The other day he picked out his clothes... he got his little chair climbed in the closet and got out some PJ pants and then a t-shirt. He then ran out to the front closet and found his boots (putting them on all by himself) Once he has them on he rarely lets you take them off. He even took a nap in them. He ended up with a little blister, but he didnt mind. Then the next day he put them on again. We went out shopping all day and I figured his blister had to bother him - it didn't, but still, I made him take his boots of so I could see it ---- the poor kid --- he had three blisters and a blood ring on his foot --- he looked at it and said "ouchie ma" and smiled and wanted the boots back on --- he is a serious boy - tough!

- the picture on the bottom right is his boot after I took it off... inside it there is lots of dried blood... Bubba never once said ouchie while wearing the boots and never walked like his foot hurt --

Arts 'n Crafts
Everyday I try to do a craft project with the kids - or have them help me make bread or pastries... always something fun for them while home. So they made "be kind to everyone bees" and Hand sheeps... each craft goes with a bible story and has a song that goes with it too.. .its really fun for all of us. I love watching them get so into it and learning, they love doing it, and then when Jon gets home they are all proud to show him what they did... its adorable!

Train Day

So today the kids and I went up to Rockville to eat lunch with Jon (being that the kids would be in bed by the time he gets home... late work nights are not much fun). Just past Rockville in the town of... Gaithersburg (I think) is an old train museum and steam train. Jon thought Bubba would love it - seeing how he is very into trains (thats an understatement)! He loved the big steam train that we could take pictures with - but then a real train came by. All the trains he had seen before were slow trains, hardly made any noise other than their whistle - but this train made the ground shake and the noise was that of being in the front row of a concert. Bubba quickly forgot that he liked trains... his face in the picture below says it all. (and yes, I am holding him while having Zek in the baby bjorn... poor Zek, I think Bubba held onto his head for dear life... hey, maybe thats how Jon got all those wrinkles in his head... if Zek has them when he is older we'll know why). Shortie on the other hand liked the loud train for a little bit -but she said she would rather have a quite train.

(not the best picture of me... but I was laughing super hard... that look is priceless!)

Then to another picture --- its tradition that Jon and I always take self portraits. If he takes it all you can see is him and top of my head, if I take it all you can see is me and the bottom of his head - or in both you just get a portion of each of us. Not really sure why, but we tend to always like the pictures - maybe because it makes us laugh. But now having five of us - its even harder to take self portraits... especially when the sun is in your eyes and you can barely look at the camera as evident in the picture below with the kids looking down, and me with only one eye open... and well, at least I got Jons chin :)

And for one last picture of the day ... Little Zek got a bath... Jon and I loved his little outfit after the bath. He is just so adorable!

sick...

So for the first time (and I'm sure not the last time) both Jon and I are sick... all three kids are healthy which is good --- but being that both Jon and I are sick it would be nice if the goods weren't so healthy that all they want to do is go.go.go!

For right now the only person that has this blog is my mom - so Hi Mom... once I get this really going and use to using it then I will give it out to others, and Jon will start posting too.

I took a picture of Bubbas bread that he made --- I'll try to post it tomorrow - its adorable! My little chef!

Off to bed now - little Zek just finished eating - hopefully tonight we will get some sleep :) Tomorrow is Jon's late night..
